Recipes

Making every breakfast fresh from scratch means we have ample opportunities to test and adjust our favorite recipes. We hope you’ll try making a few of these at home. When we were first preparing to own and operate a B&B, we expected to need large batch recipes that could feed a crowd. However, once we were up and running we were quickly drowning in leftovers. What we actually needed was to be able to tune the recipes based on how many guests would be joining us each morning.

Breakfast

Enjoy a full vegetarian breakfast each morning at 8:30 a.m. in the Gathering Room. This is a plated meal (not a buffet or continental style), and each table seats 2 to 4 people. With advance notice, we can put tables together for larger groups. If you need to get on the road extra early, we can provide a to-go bag—just let us know in advance. In season, we serve fresh fruits and vegetables purchased directly from local Mennonite and Amish farm stands.

Dining & Snacks

Looking for something to eat? Here are some of the spots closer to home, listed by travel time. This isn’t an exhaustive list, and we’ll be adding to it over time. Is your favorite place missing? Let us know! Guests looking for vegan options might also want to review vegan-friendly restaurants compiled by the Animal Advocates of South Central PA or HappyCow. If you’re here the first Saturday of June, be sure to check out Lancaster VegFest.
